Privacy Policy

Effective July 2, 2026 · Last updated July 2, 2026 · Applies to the CineUltra app for Apple Vision Pro and iOS

In short: CineUltra has no user accounts and runs no media servers. Your films stay where they are; your storage credentials stay on your device; nothing you watch is uploaded to us. We collect a small amount of anonymous usage and crash data to keep the app working well, and we never sell any data.

1. Who we are

CineUltra ("the App", "we") is an independently developed media player. For anything in this policy, contact us at cinemaxapp@outlook.com.

2. Information we collect

Usage analytics

We record product events — for example which screen was opened or which feature was tapped — together with device model, OS version, and app version. Events are keyed to a random per-install identifier, not to your name or email (the App has no accounts), and never include the contents or names of your media files.

Crash reports and performance

We collect crash traces, error diagnostics, and performance metrics. These help us find and fix bugs.

Purchases

In-app purchases are processed through the App Store. We only receive the purchase state needed to unlock features, and we never see your payment details.

What we do not collect

We do not collect the contents of your media files, and we do not upload your library to any server of ours — the App streams directly from your own storage to your device.

3. Your media sources and credentials

When you add a storage source (SMB, WebDAV, FTP, Emby, Jellyfin, Plex, or a cloud drive), its address and credentials are stored only on your device, in the system Keychain, encrypted by visionOS/iOS. Credentials are transmitted only to the storage service you are connecting to, never to us.

4. Google user data

Connecting Google Drive is optional. If you sign in with Google, the following applies — this section describes all access, use, storage, and sharing of Google user data by the App.

CineUltra's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

5. Data retention and deletion

Everything stored on your device — credentials, tokens, caches, playback history — is deleted when you remove the connection or uninstall the App. Analytics and crash data are retained by the analytics and crash-reporting providers described in Section 2 according to their own schedules; you can request deletion of diagnostics by contacting us with your approximate usage time and device model.

Because CineUltra stores no personal data on servers of its own, there is no server-side account or database to request a copy of or correction to. All data on your device is under your direct control, and where laws such as the GDPR or CCPA grant you additional rights over diagnostics data, you can exercise them through the contact address in Section 8.

6. Children

The App is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

7. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update this page and the effective date above. Continued use of the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.

8. Contact
